The design phase is essential for any project's success since many of the decisions, budgets, and schedules are locked in during design. Yet despite its importance, few people in the AEC industry have a defined process for it.
In this course we will introduce Lean Design and how it can be used to improve the project outcomes. We will talk about using the Last Planner System, Set Based Design, Pull Planning, and approaching a project as a network of commitments.
The goal of this course is to provide the knowledge and understanding for you to effectively apply Lean in the Design Phase. In this 3-hour, 25 lesson course we will be covering 5 major modules:
- Why We Should Improve The Design Process
- Responsibility Based Planning and Control
- Setbased Design
